We are really excited to have been able to offer a wide range of cultural and physical activities to our 130 beneficiary children this year, thanks to the donations from last year’s Giving Tuesday! One of our children’s favorites this year has been the circus course!
The circus activities target many key areas of child development, such as concentration, flexibility, and balance. It’s also fabulous for inspiring creativity and imagination, while teaching the importance of practice and dedication to achieve goals. Arca’s kids have really taken to it, and have wowed us with their prowesses. Check out the pictures to see their crazy acrobatics!
Thanks to your renewed solidarity and support, every week, children and teenagers from Arca do Saber participate in percussion, circus, breakdance, capoeira, rugby, and many other activities that together provide significant positive results. As well as boosting their self-esteem, these activities provide opportunities for success. For example, the passion shown by the kids during the rugby classes every Saturday morning inspired the launch of an ambitious project to send a team of 17 players to France to compete this summer!
It all starts with a small donation, a group of passionate volunteers and a lot of love! We wouldn’t be able to do it without you! So, once again, THANK YOU!
