Dearest Supporters,
We are disappointed to report that Josephine has suffered an injury that prevents her from proceeding with the planned egg business at this time. She, her daughter, and we all hope that in time this project will be able to move forward as planned, but that is uncertain at this point. As you may recall, we have alread disbursed partial funding to get this project going, but we will not disburse any additional funds until the situation has materially improved. We will hold the funds to support the egg business should Josephine be able to take it on, otherwise we will keep the funds in reserve for any unplanned emergency needs that were not budgeted for.
It is always disappointing to have a project that does not come to fruition as planned, but that is the reality in Rwanda as it is everywhere.
We thank you for your continued faith in us to choose projects wisely and to make sound decisions about when to hold additional funding.
