Rwanda-one4one provides access to quality education for children in Rwanda, empowering them to break the cycle of poverty. There is no government-funded public school in Rwanda - families must pay all the costs of their children's schooling, including tuition, uniforms, meals, and supplies. The ability to speak English raises the career prospects of a Rwandan child tenfold, strengthening their family and community, but many families simply cannot afford all the costs of school, and the cycle of poverty continues. We will help families cover these costs for 20 children.
Education equips young people with essential skills for critical thinking, problem-solving, and literacy, opening pathways to better-paying jobs and entrepreneurship. In rural areas, where access to education is even more limited, children often miss out on these opportunities, further widening the inequality gap.
