Thousands of people have been left without homes as a result of the severe earthquake measuring a magnitude of 8.2. The biggest earthquake experienced in a century. The people of Mexico, Chiapas and Oaxaca are in need of temporary accommodation in the form of tents, basic supplies such as water, food and medical necessities are crucial to survival as well as ensuring hygiene and sanitation to limit the spread of disease.
On Thursday The 7th of September, Mexico experienced a severe earthquake measuring a magnitude of 8.2. The biggest earthquake experienced since they have been measured. The earthquake has caused widespread damage and devastation across the Mexican South East states. GVI Staff are in contact with local NGO's that are supporting the relief needed by these communities.
