URGENT SUPPORT NEEDED! Meet a 70 year, a courageous survivor of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) who has been bravely rebuilding her life after being battered and chased from home by her husband. She's now caring for her 4 young grandchildren, aged 7-13, who depend on her for love, support, and stability. Tragically, their current living situation is precarious and unsafe staying in a dilapidated wooden small shelter. They desperately need a secure and comfortable house to call their own.

Challenge

Meet 70 year, a courageous survivor of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) who has been bravely rebuilding her life after being battered and chased from home by her husband urgently needs a house. She's now caring for her 4 young grandchildren, aged 7-13, who depend on her for love, support, and stability. Tragically, their current living situation is precarious and unsafe staying in a dilapidated wooden small shelter. They desperately need a secure and comfortable home/house to call their own.

Solution

Addressing housing needs is a critical step towards empowering the survivor and her family, promoting a safer, healthier, and more stable future. Decent house ensures a roof over their heads, addressing basic needs like privacy, sanitation, and hygiene, gives the family a sense of belonging, reducing displacement and instability. Adequate housing improves physical and mental health, reducing stress and anxiety and stable home enables the survivor to focus on income-generating activities.
