Goats for Sustainable Livelihoods is a response to tthe challenges faced by families whose parents died of HIV/AIDS and the COVID-19 pandemic. The project is aimed at fostering gender equity in economic emancipation of the families with orphans and is expected to.
The project will enhance the income generating capacities of the affected widows and girl orphan headed households.
The project will utilize a huge untapped potential of the community to foster food security and generate income as an economic solution to the root causes on economic inequalities faced by vulnerable households with orphans and girl children.
The long term benefit will be that the orphaned children will be kept in school through the income from sales of goats.
