Summary

We believe in education for all and this can be achieved by making it affordable to every child of school going age. With your help, Blessed Echoes Children Alliance will provide school fees, learning materials to more than 500 underprivileged children especially girls of rural areas of Mayuge District so that they may develop their education standard. The project will provide marginalized children with an opportunity and confidence through education to competitively contribute to development .

Challenge

According to well researched reports, children in the age of 6-14 years especially girls dropout of school every year in Mayuge District. They are confronted with enormous challenges to get an education. Children live in deplorable conditions due to their families being disadvantaged with no opportunity to earn a living. Due to the hard and heartbreaking conditions, parents/guardians cannot afford education for the children leaving the children's future at stake where girls end in early marriage

Solution

By affording children with education, it will give them an opportunity to learn and master new skills that will build competence and confidence to face the future. The project will provide underprivileged children with school fees, learning materials, lunches and medical care. The aim is to support children to become conscious towards education which in turn will reduce the problem of school dropout. The parents/guardians will be guided and encouraged to motivate their children stay in school.

Long-Term Impact

Keeping the girl child in school will be one of the strategies that will increase awareness of the girl child rights, human rights, increased knowledge on the dangers of child marriage, young people empowered from the capacity building and the entrepreneurship skills will enhance development. The government will be able to develop supportive policies and allocate resources to increase health, education and economic opportunities for married and girls at risk of early marriages.
