THANKS TO EACH DONOR, OUR WELLNESS PROGRAM IS ALREADY PRODUCING RESULTS.
Because of your generosity we were able to hire a psychologist and she has initiated our Wellness Program. She began with a group therapy session with the teachers, aimed at improving acceptance of each other despite their differences. She also worked with the group to improve self-esteem. As well she personally interviewed each teacher to learn about difficulties they are having. Her goal is to determine what the focus for her upcoming workshops should be. Her next step in this regard is to interview the parents and secondary students for the same purpose.
Primary teachers’ workshop.
Our psychologist has been personally treating the most troubled students. Their treatments will continue and will be reinforced by our art therapy program, sports therapy, and music therapy. These programs give our students a means of overcoming their problems through creative expression and physical exercise. They are starting to smile and laugh again.
