Donations for this project will be used to hire a psychologist to hold workshops with our students, personally assist those in dire need and to assist the teachers to recognize warning signs in their students. Incidents of all forms of violence have increased in their homes and in the community due to the stresses of the pandemic. Now more than ever we need professional help to ensure they can recover. We could say that this need is imperative, we recently lost two students who needed help.
To be able to reach all of our 500 students and their families, so for the first time they can have access to free professional psychological help.
Through our psychologist our teachers will be trained to identify mental health issues and ensure our students get the help they need.
Because of the creation of this program each of our students will be able to receive professional therapy. By investing in our program you will provide hundreds of Guatemalan kids and teenagers, that are at risk and who come from vulnerable areas, the opportunity to be guided psychologically. This will change their lives and their families and in turn they will change their community.
