Our children's hospital has become the only hospital in region that parents are thinking about when it comes to an emergency.
Unfortunately neonatal deaths in Uganda are way too common. According to the Ugandan Demographic and Health Survery the number of children dying before one year is 43 per 1,000 live births.
Very many children are delivered in unacceptable conditions in Ugandan health centres and hospitals. Such places are not well equipped, they often miss basic hygiene and equipment that is necessary for a save delivery.
Most of the children born prematurely therefore have small percentage for survival.
Whisper's hospital being one of the best equipped children's health centre in region, we receive number of newborn babies for immediate medical attention.
We have cried for a life-saving incubator and thanks to your generosity, we have achieved to raise full amout of money for it.
Our incubator already helped save 4 babies lives. HOW AMAZING!
It gives us extra more confidence now to receive and attend to the newborn children at our emergency ward.
