Nutrition&Health Support for 500 Adolescent Girls

By Raju Joseph | Founder Secretary

During this quarter, the project successfully supported 500 adolescent girls from marginalized communities with monthly nutrition kits and structured health education sessions. Each girl received essential nutritional supplements aimed at addressing anemia and improving overall health. Regular distribution ensured consistent access to nutritious support, helping reduce fatigue, improve concentration, and strengthen immunity.

In addition to nutrition support, we conducted menstrual hygiene awareness sessions and life-skills workshops. These sessions focused on breaking stigma, promoting hygienic practices, and building confidence among adolescent girls. Many participants openly shared that they now feel more comfortable discussing menstrual health and are practicing improved hygiene habits.

School teachers and parents reported noticeable improvements in attendance, participation, and confidence levels. Girls who previously missed school due to menstrual discomfort or weakness are now attending classes more regularly. Health education has also encouraged better dietary practices at home, creating a positive ripple effect within families.

Quarterly Highlights

  • 6 health & menstrual hygiene awareness sessions conducted
  • Increased school attendance and participation reported
  • Improved awareness on anemia prevention and healthy habits

Progress Toward Long-Term Impact

This quarter marks a strong step toward our long-term goal of reducing malnutrition and empowering adolescent girls. Improved health and awareness are helping girls stay in school, build self-confidence, and move toward a healthier and more independent future.
