While ALIMA is not alone in providing care to populations in humanitarian situations, our approach is unique. We place the operational partnerships at the heart of our activities and integrate it to every level of our governance. Building local capacity is a fundamental aspect of ALIMA's programs and by working in a partnership we are pooling together the skills, expertise, and innovation needed to reach more families in need and to have a greater and longer-lasting impact that lasts well after the conclusion of operational activities. This approach speeds up and improves humanitarian access to our target populations, vulnerable children, women and men in great need. By providing medical and humanitarian assistance ALIMA aims to protect vulnerable people by alleviating suffering and enhancing well-being, human dignity, and quality of life. We strongly believe that health is a basic human right and that it is the first step towards self-sufficiency.
