Start of the schoolyear

Dear donor,

September for us marks the start of the school year - a busy period for our team at Te Aud Romania.

We have started by distributing fully equipped schoolbags to over 500 children in rural areas across Romania. Our School in a Bag campaign is developed with partners from the United Kingdom. We are reaching hundreds of children each year from disadvantaged areas to support their education; children that otherwise could not afford educational tools; that come from very poor and/or broken families.

We are continuously working to improve education for children that need it most. In our endeavour, from September 2019 we have extended our Rugby for all children mentoring programme.

TAR Mentorship Program aims to give children from disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, so they can develop their interpersonal skills, including networking and communication and be on track to become successful people in the future.

What the program achieves:

  • career exploration, life skills development and academic success;
  • understanding of the positive potential of online communications;
  • to offer support and advice with sport performance, school or career related issues and develop a nurturing relationship with the young person
  • focus on social, employability and academic skills

Our Rugby for all children programme has been supporting 20 children through their education and personal development; and as of this September - we have admitted an extra 20 children in the programme; increasing our number of children in the programme to 40.

These children need our help and support! And we cannot do this alone!

Together we can turn their lives around and give them chances for productive lives in the future!

Still a long way

Dear supporters,

We are pleased to inform you that we have been busy in the past  couple of months - with another 10 children admitted into our counselling programme.

Summer is on the way and new requests for counselling have been knocking on our door - however in order to fulfill all of those needs - we need your help.

We are still a long way from our goal!

Today, I want to share with you our latest achievement - 5 young people with talented sports abilities will participate in a partner programme in New Zealand! They will travel to one of the greatest rugby academies in the world to train with the best of the best mid June!

Children need us to be on their side working towards a better future for all!

Thank you!

New year - new challenges

Dear Supporters,

First of all, from all of us at Te Aud Romania we hope you have had a great start of the year and we wish you all the best for the rest of 2019!

We have started the year rather shy, however we are continuously improving and exploring opportunities on how we can further develop our work. In my last project report, I was talking about the great sports bursaries that we are offering to talented individuals in disadvantaged communities. Part of the sports bursary, the children are also part of a personal development and counselling programme.

We are now considering replicating the personal development programme to be offered to children in need, even tough they are not part of our bursary project. The success based on the constant and supporting meetings with our team of specialists tells us that we must replicate the programme in other areas as well.

This idea is a new addition to the programs we are continuously developing for orphans and children in need.

Thank you so very much for playing a big part in our work and helping us to continue our endeavour for a better life for orphans and disadvantaged children.

P.S. I have included a link from a great project we have developed at the end of last year. The management team from Blake Envelopes UK visited us in Romania to help run our SCHOOL IN A BAG campaign but also to mark the start of another great project we are running together. But more on this soon!!
