2022 has started with sad news regarding the conflictual situation between Ukraine and Russia. Our charity has its main offices 70 kms from one of the borders. As a result, a lot of refugees have been arriving in the region within the past 2 days. Our charity is committed to create a response fund and provide ongoing support to facilitate their stay in the region for as long as necessary. The Ukrainian women and children need us now!
Currently, thousands and thousands of women and children are arriving from Ukraine to take shelter from the conflictual situation. The Siret border, near our offices faces incoming refugees minute by minute - all of which need support, places to stay, transportation and all the required necesities to live. The life of thousands of children is in danger.
We will work closely with the authorities and other charities involved to develop immediate response initiatives for supplies and create an action plan to develop long term support for the Ukrainian children and their families.
The trauma of war will stay with these children forever. But it is in our hands to help as much as we can and alleviate the horrific pain they are going through at the moment, bu lending a helping hand.
