13 September

Dear supporter,

I trust you are well and my email finds you in good spirits.

13 September - that's the date when all children in Romania will start school. Suceava county alone has 48% of its population living in rural areas - areas where children are fighting for basic tools to go to school such as a schoolbag, books and notebooks. For them, owning a tablet or a laptop is completely out of the question.

We are now living in a world where Internet and technological devices have become part of our every day living pretty much as much as the glass of water we need. We all know that jobs are turning more hihg-tech by the day: waiting tables requires a tables, driving requires you to know how to use a Sat-nav and the list can definitely go on.

That's why, I think it is somehow our responsibility to give these children the best educational tools they need to succeed in life, even if we are just talking about bus driving.

For them, we need to focus our efforts because the way we get involved in their education is the way we are paving our future.

I know we can do this together and we can make sure we are all living in a better world.

Every little help counts towards education and the future!

Thank you

WeTomorrow and TAR educational and multimedia centre

Dear supporter,

We hope you are well and you are managing to stay afloat amidst these rough times we are all passing through.

As we all know, children probably are the most vulnerable to these constant changes and instability we are facing. We are continuously doing our best to support our most vulnerable groups and create activities for them to help them through these challenges.

As part of our constant efforts, we have been coordinating this week an English Summer Camp for over 60 orphans, in partnership with a Swiss charity called WeTomorrow. During this week, WeTomorrow volunteers have conducted English classes, educational and sport activities for orphans in the area. In the afternoon, all volunteers have helped transform a mundane meeting room into one of the best educational centres for orphans. The room has been equipped with desks, 8 laptops, a videoprojector, bookshelves, and a nice castle with stairs for them to relax and read. We aim to fill all of the bookshelves with over 1000 books for children aged 6 - 18.

It has been a hectic week for everyone involved within the project. Om Saturday, the 14th August we will conduct the handover ceremony, where the WeTomorrow group will present their work of this week.

The multimedia centre will serve over 120 orphans on a regular basis and we are most delighted that we could offer them such an opportunity.

You are more than happy to join in our project and support with whatever you can. Every small step in the right direction counts.

You can find a small sneak peak at the work volunteers conducted this week.

Again, thank you and happy weekend everyone.

Rugby for all fifth edition

Dear supporter,

We trust you are well and our email finds you in good spirits.

We are slowly approaching the end of summer in Romania and with that we have a new start of the rugby season.

Rugby in particular and sport in general has been heavily affected because of the worldwide pandemic. However, for us, this means we will have to continue to stay focused and contribute even more to the further development of rugby; but more so to the further development of youngsters through rugby.

Therefore, next week we will launch our fifth edition of Rugby for all - one of the most complex non formal educational programs in Romania that supports junior rugby players from disadvantaged backgrouds. The project supports 40 youngsters on an annual basis. This year, we are opening up to fill at least 15 places that have been vacated due to our mentees finishing high-school and making their next move in life.

Rugby in particular, and sport in general is probably one of the most powerful tools we have at hand to generate change within our community.

Let's work together to create stronger communities!

Thank you for your continuous support - every little counts!
