Women in Security, Conflict Management and Peace (WISCOMP) is an action research and peacebuilding initiative of the Foundation for Universal Responsibility of His Holiness The Dalai Lama (FUR). FUR is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian, non-denominational organization established in 1990 with the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to the Dalai Lama. In the spirit of the Charter of the United Nations, the Foundation brings together men and women of different faiths, professions and nationalities, through a range of initiatives and mutually sustaining collaborations. Together Against Violence of Gendered Exclusion
WISCOMP will integrate screenings of 'He Named Me Malala' with panel discussions and capacity-building workshops in National Capital Region (NCR) and other states like Jammu and Kashmir that are vulnerable to gender-based violence. These activities will maximize impact on the knowledge, beliefs, attitude and behavior of the participants (educators and students), helping them to become change agents in their families and communities.
