Mission

Safisana is an international social enterprise improving health and climate conditions in low- and middle-income countries by transforming waste into valuable resources. Safisana was founded by the entrepreneur Aart van den Beukel, initially supported by the Dutch government, Rabobank and the NGO Aqua for All as an innovative experiment bringing together public and private sectors to address the waste management challenge in low and middle income countries.
