I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share a heartwarming update on the progress of our Youth Outreach Project at Zenon Dance School, thanks to your generous support.
Through our Fall and Winter Class Sessions, we were able to provide 25 weeks of outstanding dance programming to youth in greater Minneapolis and St. Paul communities and on-site at Zenon’s Studios in Minnesota. Through collaborations with public school districts, local arts organizations and professional youth instructors Zenon has touched over 150 youth dancers.
The Fall Session culminated by celebrating our youth dancers in their first performance showcase in The Cowles Center for Dance and The Performing Arts - TEK Box, with families and friends. At this showcase the dancers shared their creative movement voices and built their confidence in demonstrating movement in a public setting, shared the strength of their class communities, dance class process and movement technique knowledge and personal dance compositions. We are so very proud of these young movers, as this is a challenging and milestone step in performance and artistic growth.
We are looking forward to introducing new programming this summer through a new partnership with the Hennepin County Library system, offering summer programming at three unique sites; a continued collaboration with MacPhail Center for Music; and an on-site summer camp opportunity for ages 3 through 14.
Thanks to donors like you, we can provide youth with the opportunities they need to continue to build their artistic journeys in a safe and welcoming community, and a platform to development independent voices through movement.
We believe that dance and art education is a powerful tool for empowerment, and we are committed to providing these dancers with every opportunity to reach their full potential.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, which is making a tangible difference in the lives of these students. Your donation is not just a monetary contribution; it is a symbol of hope and a commitment to making a positive change in the world.
Thank you for your continued partnership in our mission to empower youth dancers in Minnesota. Together, we can make a difference.
With gratitude,
Danielle Robinson-Prater
