50 Afghan Women in Tech_ Support Afghan Girls

The 50 Afghan Women in Tech initiative by Aseel is creating new opportunities for Afghan women to learn, grow, and build careers in technology. At a time when many women in Afghanistan face limited access to education and employment, this program provides a practical pathway for them to develop professional skills, gain work experience, and become part of the digital workforce.

Through this initiative, fellows receive technical training, mentorship, internet support, stipends, and the necessary equipment to work remotely. These resources help women overcome barriers and create sustainable career opportunities in the technology sector.

The first cohort of the program reached an important milestone by successfully graduating in March 2026. After completing the program, many fellows were able to transition into professional roles and were hired by Aseel and Aseel’s partner organizations. Today, they are actively working in different departments, applying their skills, and contributing to meaningful projects.

The second cohort is also approaching another major milestone, with fellows graduating on 9 July 2026. Many participants have already shown great dedication and progress during the program and have started contributing to different departments at Aseel, gaining valuable hands-on experience and preparing for their future careers in technology.

The success of these cohorts demonstrates the importance of investing in Afghan women’s skills and potential. However, many talented women are still waiting for opportunities to join similar programs. Continued support will allow Aseel Foundation to expand this initiative and reach more women who are ready to learn, work, and build a better future.

The impact of this program goes beyond technology skills. Fellows are gaining confidence, becoming financially independent, supporting their families, and inspiring other women in their communities.
