Afghanistan is facing a major employment crisis, especially for women, since the Taliban takeover in August. Many have lost their jobs, and opportunities are scarce.
Our program aims to support 50 talented Afghan women—in Afghanistan by offering remote job opportunities and leadership development. Through the Women in Tech program, participants can use their skills to work with private companies, NGOs, and tech organizations around the world.
This is a one-year remote IT fellowship. Each fellow receives a stipend and IT equipment to support their work.
To fund this initiative, we launched a global campaign inviting donors to help us create impact. So far, we’ve partnered with organizations like Code to Inspire, Ehtesab, RapidIteration, ACAA, and most recently, the AJA Foundation. With their support, we’ve successfully onboarded the first cohort of 10 Afghan women.
There’s still much more to do. We’re looking for strategic partners and Individual donors who believe in empowering Afghan women and building long-term change.
Thanks,
