This project will provide at least 200 citizens 16 years and older with "Free" resources to support their economic mobility.
70% of our clients are single parents/heads of household. It is all too necessary to give women the opportunity to re-think their value and self-worth in the job market, especially when re-entering the workforce from being a stay-at-home mom, unemployed, underemployed, incarcerated, or completing a training or certification. We provide interview-appropriate attire, confidence-building, and career development to women transitioning into the workplace.
Dress for Success Memphis partners with over 122 Nonprofit and training agencies. Women who complete their training or programming and secure a job interview are referred to us through our PWG model. The cornerstone of our organization is the Professional Women's Group (PWG). The PWG is designed to provide mentoring, counseling services, and a program that focuses on four core areas determined to be critical to job retention and promotion: workplace rules education, both written and unwritten.
The project will provide education through soft and essential skills training; career resources through on-site and virtual career center engagement, professional interview, and employment attire for as long as clients are engaged with the agency through our PWG program.
