Project Report | May 4, 2026
Themi Primary School

By Peter de Laat | Project administrator

Hi Dear Donors & Friends,

Last week we visited the Themi Primary School in Arusha for the Menstrual Health Education project. In collaboration with REEpads Tanzania and in attendence of the Ward Councilor, Mr. Kinabo, we educated 233 girls between 10 and 15 years.

The initiative aims to empower young girls with knowledge on menstrual health, promote self-awareness, and provide sustainable menstrual hygiene solutions.

The program involved an interactive learning session led by the facilitators, where girls were encouraged to actively participate, ask questions, and share their experiences. The safe and open environment allowed meaningful discussions and improved understanding of menstrual health.

In addition to the educational session, 110 girls received REEpads reusable sanitary pads, along with guidance on proper use, care, cleaning, and maintenance.

The choice by Destiny Hope Foundation to support reusable sanitary pads form REEPads, not only addresses menstrual health challenges, but also reflects a responsible and forward-thinking approach to environmental care.

The girls are very thankful for your support to this needy education and hope we can go in this collaboration for a longer time with your support!

Best Regards,

Pendaeli Amos & Peter de Laat
