Accomplishments during the 19th Quarter (August 2023-January 2024) of the project:
1. The Young Leaders Forums facilitated community-led discussions with local political leaders in Lower Dir and Upper Dir, centering on youth issues and representation in politics.
2. Consultative meetings were arranged for youth leaders to interact with local social and political figures, fostering networking opportunities and collaborative efforts to address various challenges.
3. Trained youth leaders conducted visits to areas impacted by heavy rainfall in different parts of Lower Dir and Upper Dir. They collected data on affected communities and shared it with relevant institutions to ensure immediate relief and assistance.
4. Monthly progress review and planning meetings were held with the field team. These sessions involved assessing project progress, discussing challenges, and finalizing action plans for the upcoming months.
Challenges:
The project is designed with an integrated approach for the relevance and continuity of activities. The total estimated budget is 50,000 USD, and to date, we have received donations totaling around 5,000.00 USD. Despite this challenge, the project team has conscientiously proceeded with Youth Leadership Training in two districts initially. Once additional funds become available, the program will expand to include the 3rd district.
