14th Quarterly Progress Report

By Shad Begum | Executive Director

Accomplished Activities during the 14th Quarter of the project:

  1. Nine community awareness sessions on voter mobilizations were organized in Lower Dir and Malakand. Three sessions were organized in each district. 20-28 people participated in each session.
  2. Meetings/consultations among the local political parties' leadership and youth were organized, to help them build networking with the prominent political parties and their leadership.
  3. The local bodies' elections in Malakand region are excluded from the first round. However the possibility is that soon it will be announced to be hold in the coming months. Our team organized meetings and consultations with the election commission office/team to continue getting updates about the preparations and other necessary aspects to design our activities for the training of the potential candidates both women and youth.
  4. Our team organized 6 awareness sessions about voter education in the local communities.
  5. Monthly progress review and planning meetings were held with the team in the field. During the meeting project progress was reviewed, challenges were discussed and an action plan was reviewed and finalized for every next month.

Challenges:

The project design is based on an integrated approach in terms of the relevancy of the activities' sequel and effect. The total estimated budget of the project is 50,000 USD, against this budget until we have received an amount of donation of around 5,000.00 USD. The project team has been simultaneously paying attention to this challenge and continued the Youth Leadership Training in two districts initially, and later on, once the funds will be available, the 3rd district will be included too.
