Past two months have been very difficult for Armenia. One of the obvious reasons - COVID lockdown. As in the rest of the world, Armenia was in total lockdown, we had a lot of cases, deaths and everyone was affacted by this - both children and their parents.
Little we knew, there was another catastrophy awaiting us - war.
At the end of September the country of Azerbaijan, one of our neighbour countries and long-time rival attaced Artsakh (Karabakh) - teretory that has been run by ethnic armenians for decades.
This was immensly devastating for all of the armenians, also for our organisation, as one of our organisation members, a 20 years old young man, has died in this war. He was a volonter in our organisation since he was 14. He used to help us with our projects, supporting us in any organisational deads. This bright young man was a true hero, and we will never forget his sacrifise.
Due to this war the COVID-19 cases have been increasing. The schools are shut down and so as our organisation. It is a dificult time for our nation, we are praying and hoping to go back to normality as soon as possible.
Resource Center Charitable NGO is with Armenian people.
The impact of COVID 19 was inevitable and it affected every field in our country. Our organisation is not an exception. The community is fighting for its survival at hour of the crisis. Many parents are fighting for income and for jobs. Loss of jobs is the reason for poverty for many people in our community and in our country. Obviously this affects the education, as the schools are shut down and the online classes not qas effective as they should be.
Resource Center Charitable Organisation did not want to stand by and decided to help the families of our community and first of all families of our organisation mnembers.
As it was imposible for people to leave their homes and go shopping the organisation helped 100 families with food suplies and houshold goods.
With the help of our volunteers the organisation managed to help the families that were in need at this hour of crisis.
Resource Center Charitable NGO continues the project “Educational school program” with schoolchildren in Charentsavan.

The new COVID-19 virus reached Armenia and also Charentsavan.
Unfortunately, our country is in quarantine which means all schools are closed and so do we.
The well-being and health of our colleagues and our students are priority for us. We will continue our mission as soon as we are back on regular working days.
We wish everyone good health.

In November Resource Center Charitable NGO won a grant which provided the organisation with new furniture (chair, tables, whiteboards), stationery (starting from regular pens and ending with binding machine). This grant purpose was to fully cover the expenses that parents do for providing their children with stationery goods.
Resource Center Charitable NGO also started a new project "Preschool". It is for children (5 and 6 years) whose parents want them to spend the majority of their day productive, in warm welcoming environment.
We continue our duty and do our best for the organisation's young members.
