Challenge

Most schools teach children to become an employee. But the global pandemic has disrupted economies and education around the world. There are 8.4 million fewer American jobs available than before the pandemic. Students have lost ground in reading and math over the last year, and many won't graduate. Now, so many young people will struggle and compete to find employment that pays a living wage because most have no idea what it takes to establish their own business.

Solution

After mentoring students for 10 years, we know with the right support, young people can tap into their creativity and start their own successful businesses. In our 90-day online program, seasoned entrepreneurs will coach young people on how to create a business plan, develop an elevator speech, form a business entity, set up a line of credit, register for a tax ID number, trademark or patent a creation, get a business loan, create a budget, invoice and get paid with bitcoin, and more.

Long-Term Impact

The RLF entrepreneurship program offers young people a high level of understanding about the business world and expands their employment options significantly. It positions young people to be able to work in any economic climate because they know how to successfully run a business anywhere. If they choose to build a business early, they can begin to build wealth that will position them for life success.
