Update on your donations to Youth as Change Makers

By Vaneeza Akbar | Project Contributor

Thank you for your continued support of Youth as Change Makers: Promoting Peace in Pakistan.Your belief in the power of young people to contribute to a more peaceful, tolerant, and inclusive society continues to inspire our efforts.

Since our last update, the project has continued to face funding constraints, and we have not yet received sufficient donations to begin the planned physical implementation activities. As a result, we have been unable to conduct the university-based dialogue sessions and outreach activities envisioned under the project design. Despite these challenges, we remain committed to the project’s objectives and have continued to promote awareness around the themes that underpin our work, including peacebuilding, civic engagement, youth participation, and climate change. Through our ongoing initiatives, social media engagement, and community-focused activities, we have sought to keep these important conversations active and encourage young people to remain engaged with issues affecting their communities and future.

While these efforts do not replace the planned project activities, they allow us to maintain momentum, sustain public awareness, and continue advocating for positive youth engagement during this period of limited resources. They also help us stay connected with our audiences and reinforce the relevance of the issues this project seeks to address. Looking ahead, we remain hopeful that future donations through GlobalGiving will enable us to move forward with the project as originally planned. Once adequate funding becomes available, we will begin implementing the university-based sessions and other activities aimed at fostering dialogue, critical thinking, and inclusive civic participation among young people in Pakistan.

We remain deeply grateful for your support and encouragement. Every contribution helps keep this vision alive, and we look forward to sharing meaningful progress and impact as resources become available.

With appreciation,

Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT)
