The project aims to enhance economic stability by providing vocational training, Uganda's youth (below 30) make up 78% of the population, with 18% unemployed, particularly those with formal education but lacking practical skills to start their own employment enterprises
The expected outcomes of the Youth and Women Empowerment Project will include; Increased business skills for 350 youth to drive enterprise development. Vocational skilling for 50 individuals to enhance employment opportunities. 300 individuals engaged in VSLAs, promoting savings and financial literacy.
YWEP will create dignified employment opportunities, improve financial independence, and reduce poverty in Lyantonde District, fostering long-term economic resilience.
