By: Asociación MOJE.

Introduction:

We are presenting the first project report of the activities of the project “50 young people and women start their business” related to the period from November 2021 to January 2022, which we are executing with the support of all the people who make it possible through their donations. So far we are training 55 young people in 5 technical areas and complemented it with human and business training.

Project Objectives:

The most important impact is to get 50 young people to enter the labor market in their own communities and generate economic income that allows them to get away from violence, not think about leaving the country and be an example for other young people, who want to get ahead but they don’t find opportunities in the country.

Actually we are working with four rural communities, where the processes of human, business, creative and technical training are being developed.

Human Training:

Developing the human and leadership abilities of 50 young people in the communities of El Cacao in Cinquera, Santa Cruz in Ilobasco, Llano Largo in Jutiapa,

Business Training:

The business training objective is develop the skills and abilities so youths can start a successful business, they are taught to identify an entrepreneur, develop creative business ideas, develop their business model and receive a small seed capital to start their own business.

Youths from El Cacao Canton participate in business management training, reflecting on the entrepreneurship they want to develop in their community based on the training received in gastronomy.

TECHNICAL TRAINING:

The objective of this training is develop technical skills in young people in a specific area so that they can start a business and successfully enter in the workforce in their community. The technical area is selected by the young people according to the potential of the community, the existing demand for a product or service and the chance of success. At present, five technical trainings have been developed in the areas of Gastronomy, Electricity, Preparation of flower arrangements, Packaging and Artisan Jewelry.

Youths from the Ilobasco learn to make Artisan Jewelry, these pieces are made with local clay from the municipality.
