YouMeWe Ghana is an evolving project that is continually providing various computer literacy to young students in a rural area of Ghana. The project has been successful through the help of our kind-hearted donors and we want to use this opportunity to thank them for their immersive support.
We hope they continue to donate to our project and the great effort they put in place to make sure these young students also grow into what they want to be in the future. The main focus of this program or project is to have computer programmers, software developers, and any computer-related professionals from our community. The knowledge they acquired can also be transferred to the next upcoming generation to help in developing their community and also to write a success story about YOUMEWE. The project has also helped the students in the area to have access to an internet connection to create email accounts and also search for relevant information on the internet which is a requirement of their education curriculum. It has educated the students on using social media and its advantages and disadvantages. They have understood, they can also create an online business on their own by being loyal to those who are interested in their products or what they advertise on the media. We continually appeal to our donors to support this project to offer more significant opportunities for these young students.

Youmewe Ghana is an evolving project that consists in providing computer literacy to young students in a rural area of Ghana. The project has been successful through the help of our kind-hearted donors and we want to use this opportunity to thank you. The main focus of this program is to have computer programmers, software developers, and any computer-related professionals from our community. The knowledge they acquired can also be transferred to the upcoming generation to help in developing their community and also to write a success story about YOUMEWE. The students have really understood what this project holds for them and has managed to create, code, and designed a number of unique and wonderful games which we are planning to assemble and put together on the play store, to also raise funds to support the project. All these games were made despite not having good access to an internet connection and other challenging factors that come their way in the process of creating the games. We strongly believe the knowledge acquired will one day be beneficial to the students and the community as a whole. We continually appeal to our donors to support this project to offer greater opportunities for these young students.
This month we continued making progress in teaching computer programming lessons in Ghana. All of the students have completed a vast collection of projects together as a class. Now they are getting ready to start independently developing their own applications and games. It’s the next big step for our students. In the lead-up to the summer holiday, we spent a lot of time talking about what type of projects each student would like to do and asking everyone what type of support they would need to start developing applications on their own. After the kids return from summer break, we plan to start teaching classes in a new format with each student writing up a personal plan for a project and developing it individually. We will teach the lesson by providing individual support on a student-by-student basis as needed. Having kids at such a young age independently develop their own applications and games will be a major accomplishment for everyone, especially the kids and their families.
YOUMEWE Ghana is an evolving project that shows the ingenuity, creativity, and potential of young people in remote areas of Ghana. YOUMEWE is teaching daily hour-long programming lessons to kids in Ghana. They are learning how to develop apps and video games. They have been taking on increasingly complex projects like simple 3D engine development and developing an AI that can play soccer with itself. The students in Ghana have managed to create numerous amazing games and applications despite not having access to good internet, electricity, and other services. This program is proof that the next generation of great programmers, software developers, and tech geniuses can come from the humblest of the beginning. All we have to do is invest our time and money to show them the way to success. Let’s invest in the next generation of Ghanaian kids and build a better world where we all share in the fruits of each other’s labor.
YOUMEWE is now looking to take this project to the next level. We have been teaching daily lessons to the kids of Ghana and the kids have shown how much they can accomplish with our support. As our next step, we were to work on creating the next set of offerings that will really open doors for our students and help them reach their true potential.
