Summary

Yemen continues to face the world's most severe humanitarian crisis, with over 23.1 million people (65% of the population) in need of assistance. Reports from UN OCHA and the WFP highlight it as a critical "hunger hotspot," where ongoing conflict and economic collapse threaten famine. GEFD is providing essential aid such as food baskets, clean water, and shelter kits to 500 displaced families to help restore dignity and prevent starvation. Challenge

More than 500 displaced families living in over 70 overcrowded camps in Marib face a life-threatening shortage of basic necessities. Having lost their homes and livelihoods to years of conflict, they now lack access to consistent food supplies, safe drinking water, and weather-resistant shelter. Yemen's severe economic collapse has made these essential goods unaffordable, leaving thousands of vulnerable children and elderly people at high risk of starvation, malnutrition, and preventable diseas

Solution

GEFD will implement a targeted emergency response to provide immediate relief to 500 displaced families across Marib's most underserved camps. Our solution focuses on three critical pillars: Food Security: Distributing monthly food baskets containing essential nutrients to combat hunger. Water & Sanitation: Providing regular clean water trucking and hygiene kits to prevent the spread of diseases. Emergency Shelter: Delivering weather-resistant shelter kits, including mattresses and blankets,

Long-Term Impact

"While the immediate goal of this project is to save lives through emergency aid, its long-term impact extends far beyond the duration of the distribution cycle. By providing 500 displaced families in Marib with essential food, water, and shelter, we are fundamentally preserving human capital and preventing a secondary humanitarian collapse. 1. Resilience and Health Stability: Continuous access to clean water and nutritious food is the primary defense against chronic malnutrition and waterborne
