Thank you for your donation to this campaign. The funding from this campaign has been spent at this point. Our most recent, and still ongoing bigger project is security fire fighting equipment for Utila.
Thanks to a donor, we have received close to 20 complete sets of fire fighting protective equipment along with spare protective clothing, helmets, etc.. We are using previously donated funds to transport the equipment to Utila. It is currently on its way to Hyde Shipping, where it will then get transported to Honduras via Roatan and then to Utila. We've been fortunate for Hyde to donate the bulk of the international shipping costs, leaving us to only cover the costs of moving the equipment from Wisconsin to Miami.
The current plan for the equipment is to have a few fire fighting "mini-stations" setup throught Utila Town, the South Shore and Pigeon Cay. We will still need to secure mobile water pumps but have a few leads we are looking into.
