This year, Arts For All celebrates 10 years as a non-profit! For a decade, we have provided free arts programming to thousands of in-need children across New York City. We want to continue to grow, and get rid of barriers to exploring the arts. Help us to continue to bring more art for 10 more years (and beyond!)
Arts For All (AFA) is a non-profit arts organization serving in-need children ages 4-19. Our mission is to offer artistic opportunities to children in the New York City area who face socio-economic, physical, or emotional barriers to exploring the arts. We understand that not all children have equal access to artistic opportunities. As AFA turns 10 in 2018, we want to ensure access to free arts programming for another 10 years & beyond.
AFA seeks to fill the gaps in arts education due to lack of funding in NYC public schools & youth organizations. AFA brings free programs to partner organizations, bypassing physical barriers. AFA programs are: Artistic Residency Program, professional artists teach various arts workshops; Literacy Through the Arts, an arts residency that promotes literacy skills in grades K-2; Audience Project, a free professional theater production; & Artistic Exposure, a special extra-curricular opportunity.
We hope to open children's eyes to artistic skills they may not realize they have, and to offer positive alternatives for releasing energy and creativity. AFA hopes that, through an arts lens, children will build and strengthen AFA Core Values: Self-Confidence, Self-Expression, Resilience, Teamwork, and Creativity.
