For Syrian children living through displacement and loss, a school bag is more than supplies—it is a message that someone still believes in their future. Through the “Write Their Future: School Kits to Syrian Kids” project, we are committed to ensuring that children are not forced to abandon education because of poverty and crisis.

Since our last report on September 17, 2025, we have not yet received funding for this project, which has temporarily delayed implementation. However, the need has not paused. Families continue to face impossible choices between food, shelter, and school materials. Every day without support means another child struggling to stay in school.

1. Introduction

Dear friends and supporters,
Thanks to your generous donations to the Write Their Future – School Kits for Syrian Kids campaign, we are now preparing to launch our school bag distribution initiative in the liberated areas of Northwest Syria. This effort reflects our belief in every child’s right to education and a brighter future.

2. Background

Thousands of children in Northwest Syria face major challenges at the start of the school year, especially the lack of essential school supplies such as backpacks and stationery. Since education is the path to hope and peace, Salam Humanitarian Foundation is working to fill this gap through this campaign.

3. Activities Completed So Far

• Procurement of school bags and essential supplies (notebooks, pens, geometry tools, etc.).

• Coordination with local schools and community councils to identify the most vulnerable children.

• Organizing volunteer teams to deliver the kits directly to families and children in villages and camps.

4. Next Steps

• Official start of the distribution on September 21, 2025, aligned with the beginning of the school year in Syria.

• Covering as many children as possible, prioritizing orphans and internally displaced children.

• Documenting the distribution process with photos and field testimonies to share with our supporters.
