We recently became aware of some vocational training opportunities being offered here in Kitale. The courses run for three months, with classes taking place each weekend. Last week, seven of our Proud Moms enrolled! Two have chosen Catering, while five have enrolled in Hair & Beauty. They attended an orientation session last Saturday, and their courses will begin this coming Saturday. The girls are excited about this opportunity to learn new skills, and we wish them every success as they begin this new journey.
Last Friday, the Proud Moms proudly put on their purple Proud Moms T-shirts and attended the WOW 10 graduation at Edwina Gateley House. It was an especially special occasion, as two of our own Proud Moms, Monica and Miguel, were among the graduates. It was a fun and joyful day, which the mums and their children thoroughly enjoyed.
Another Proud Mom, Joyce, provided the catering for the arrival of the guests. This was the fourth WOW graduation for which Joyce has provided this service, and we are very proud to see her continuing to develop and use her skills.
