Your Gift is Making a Difference During Change

When we last provided you with a project report, we were settling into our new building and preparing for our WEN Annual Luncheon 2020. Just weeks later, we were quickly converting our luncheon to a virtual event while figuring out how to provide services to clients during physical distancing.
We extend our sincere thanks for your gift to Help 80 Women Find Jobs & Financial Independence. We want to share with you how WEN has risen to the challenge and ask for your continued financial support so we can do even more.
WEN services are available, and clients are thriving.
These seemingly "unprecedented" challenges have quickly become commonplace, as we all become experts at navigating our "next normal." We want to share with you how WEN has risen to the challenge. In response to COVID-19, WEN has:
shared timely information about unemployment benefits, state and local distancing orders, tax filing deadline extensions, and employee rights due to the pandemic,
introduced a standing
weekly Q&A online for anyone interested in WEN to receive immediate answers to their questions,
converted our monthly newsletter to a
weekly digest to better communicate changes in real time, and
WEN program staff's efforts to serve women remotely have yielded amazing results in just two months--most unexpected, we served clients from 11 states, a U.S. territory, and the United Kingdom! We've always been here for women who need us during transition, and it seems that they are increasingly seeking resources and connection in crisis.
On behalf of WEN's Board of Directors and staff, we want to thank you for your support.
As program staff continues developing virtual services even while working remotely, we are glad you share our excitement about our new building and the potential for taking WEN's network of support to the next level.
YOU are part of a network of staff, volunteers, employers, and donors who help women in our community move forward.
If you have any questions, feel free to call Erin Cole at (816) 595-1297 or email. Again, we offer our sincere gratitude for your financial contribution and support for WEN's mission.
