This project will train and mobilize 120 women and girls in order for them to fully participate in implementing local initiatives initiated by our organization. In so doing we expand our reach, strengthen our capacity to implement and manage local initiatives and embed in the villages warm bodies that are able to continue and sustain what we have started.
We sorely lack warm bodies especially during situation of natural disasters and climate change problems. With more than 20 projects on-going, there is a need for warm bodies in the field. The best way to do this is to train and build the capacities of local volunteers who are from the area. In so doing it is easy for us to quickly and efficiently link and mobilize warm bodies who are already embedded in the area. We badly need your help since we cannot do this alone and there are very few of us.
Local volunteers are the life-link of our organization and they will be able to efficiently work and deliver the services badly needed in the villages. They know culture, leadership and community dynamics and thus able to work and deliver much-needed services efficiently. When disaster strikes which is happening more frequently, we can extend our resources widely and in a cost-effective manner.
Climate change and poverty is becoming more common and there is a need to train and deploy warm bodies who are from the area. In so doing community participation and well-being is ensured and project results sustained onwards.
