Challenge

Only 23% of women aged 19 to 23 are enrolled in higher education, compared to 30% of men in the same age group (INEGI, 2020). In addition, women and girls have historically and systematically been underrepresented in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in Mexico and worldwide. Currently, only 35% of women worldwide study related careers, while in Mexico, only 3 out of every 10 professionals in STEM fields are women (IMCO, 2022).

Solution

Our project tackles the problem by providing comprehensive support to women in Monterrey (Mexico) who are currently enrolled in high school or college. Through educational scholarships, psycho-emotional therapy and skills development workshops we aim to reduce financial barriers, offer emotional support and equip them with essential abilities. Our goal is to empower them to overcome obstacles, successfully complete their education and build their way for a brighter future for themselves.

Long-Term Impact

By walking together on "Her Path to Success", we are not only transforming individual lives but also breaking the cycle of gender inequality. As these women gain knowledge, skills and confidence, they become powerful agents of change within their families and communities. They become role models, promote the importance of education in their environments and inspire future generations of women to fearlessly pursue their dreams and contribute to the creation of a more equitable society.
