Women&youth Empowerment through skilling in Luuka

By ninah Winfred Namufumba | Project Leader

At Pebac Entrepreneurship for Real Development Limited, our mission is to empower women and young people with the practical knowledge and skills they need to improve their livelihoods and contribute meaningfully to their communities. During this reporting period, our team reviewed our approaches and consolidated our strategy for promoting innovative skills development with a strong focus on resilience, leadership, entrepreneurship, and community vigilance.

We recognize that we live in a rapidly changing world where access to information continues to grow. Success today requires more than academic knowledge. Women and young people need a broad range of practical and transferable skills that enable them to think critically, communicate effectively, solve problems creatively, work collaboratively, and adapt to changing social and economic environments.

Our discussions highlighted that skills such as communication, teamwork, critical thinking, creativity, and flexibility have always been valuable. However, they are becoming even more essential as technology transforms workplaces and economies around the world. Without adequate investment in skills development today, millions of jobs could remain unfilled in the coming years due to skills shortages.

Our programs therefore continue to emphasize innovative learning approaches that prepare women and youth for future opportunities. We encourage entrepreneurship, digital literacy, leadership, collaboration, and community engagement to equip participants with the confidence and abilities needed to build sustainable livelihoods.

Throughout this period, we facilitated dialogue and learning activities that encouraged participants to connect with one another, exchange ideas, and develop solutions to challenges affecting their communities. We also emphasized the importance of addressing global issues such as climate change, poverty, unemployment, and public health through cooperation, innovation, and responsible citizenship.

We remain committed to creating opportunities that help women and young people become productive, self-reliant, and active contributors to sustainable development.
