This an URGENT appeal to secure the most important winter necessities and medicine for Syrian displaced families in North of Syria. Winter clothes for children include: underwear, a jacket, pants, a sweater, socks, a wool hat, a scarf and shoes, with a total cost of 60$ per child. Other winter necessities include: blankets, rugs, insulation sheets for tents at a cost of $50 per family. We aim to cover 6000 prescriptions of the most requested winter medicine at a cost of $10 per prescription.
Winter puts additional pressure on the displaced population in northern Syria, where more than a million people live in camps. They were uprooted from their homes to live in informal camps, which was thought to be temporary but they have still been there for years. Every winter, thousands of families relive the same suffering, and on average, tents of 2500 families are damaged by torrents and rains every year.
SEMA will provide winter necessities for the most vulnerable displaced families in camps of North of Syria. which include: winter clothes for children, blankets, rugs and insulation sheets for tents, this will give them some warmth to endure the harsh winter in camps. Also, SEMA will provide winter medicines for those in need to protect them from winter diseases and give them the wellness during the harsh winter in camps.
This project will secure winter clothes for 200 displaced children in camps, secure the most important winter necessities for the 200 displaced families, and cover 1000 prescriptions of the most requested winter medicines for our hospitals, medical centers and mobile clinics.
