Hello Friends,
A big week for us, first we came to know that SANTI is a top ranked charity organization per GlobalGiving. Second, we are honored as GlobalgGving India representative Ms. Kavita visited SANTI last week. She spent time with children and observed the day to day activities. She was pretty impressed with our work and the way we have organized and running the organization. She also met with girls who are learning sewing and are currently earning money for their work.
When I spoke to Ms. Kavita over phone, she seems really excited knowing a lot about SANTI and felt her trip to our organization was rewarding. Please see attached photos of her visit.
SANTI is a registered organization which supports children. As per new rule to us, Govt of India determines the needy children and asks SANTI to support. So this is a different and new way to short list children in need. In this new system, we are going to have 4 more children to support very soon, so we are looking forward to it.
As final exams are coming up, children are focused on studying. We wish them all the best for the exam.
After the exam, we will teach children to dance. Few of them already picked up dance steps from TV and have already performed in school functions. We believe this will be an area where children may show their talent.
