Project Report | Jul 13, 2026
Empowering Young Minds Through Education & Health

By Ashok Dandpat | Project Lead

This quarter brought several meaningful educational, health, and personal development opportunities for the children of SANTI Child Care Centre (CCC). Our focus remained on providing holistic care by encouraging academic excellence, promoting physical well-being, and celebrating important cultural occasions together as one family.

A proud moment for SANTI was the selection of Aryan Guria (Class VII) by the Rajgangpur Block administration to participate in an Educational Exposure Visit under the Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla, Sambalpur, held on 16 March 2026. The exposure visit gave students the opportunity to experience higher education, scientific innovation, and modern learning environments beyond their regular classroom. Such opportunities inspire children to dream bigger and motivate them to pursue higher education with confidence.

To encourage both physical and mental well-being, regular yoga classes were introduced at the Child Care Centre beginning 27 March 2026. The children enthusiastically participated in daily yoga sessions, learning breathing techniques, stretching exercises, and healthy lifestyle practices. During the same period, the children also celebrated Shri Ram Navami, where they gathered for prayers, cultural discussions, and festive activities that helped strengthen values of unity, respect, and cultural heritage.

Another significant achievement came during the 55th International Safety Month Celebration, organized by Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL), Rajgangpur on 30 March 2026. Students from SANTI Child Care Centre actively participated in the drawing competition, where Arman Guria (Class VII), Karishma Bahala (Class IX), and Jilani Toppo (Class IX) were recognized for their outstanding artistic talent and received awards. Their achievements brought immense pride to the organization and further encouraged creative learning among other children.

The health and well-being of every child remain a top priority for SANTI. On 17-18 April 2026, an Eye Screening and Vision Care Camp was organized by Ekta Mahila Samiti, Rajgangpur, in collaboration with L.B. Prasad Eye Hospital, Jhagarpur. A total of 27 children from the Child Care Centre underwent comprehensive eye examinations. Medical specialists identified four children who required corrective spectacles, and they were provided with free medicines and appropriate medical guidance. Early diagnosis and timely intervention will help these children continue their education without vision-related difficulties.

The quarter concluded with joyful celebrations as the birthdays of Usmita Xaxa and Nirali Xaxa were celebrated on 27 April 2026. The children enjoyed games, music, cake-cutting, and shared meals together, creating a warm family atmosphere that strengthened friendship, emotional well-being, and a sense of belonging among all children at the centre.

Through education, healthcare, creative expression, and emotional support, SANTI continues to provide a nurturing environment where every child has the opportunity to grow with dignity, confidence, and hope for a brighter future.
