Wellbeing for 550 children & families in Colombia

Our methodology places children and young people at the center of their learning process, promoting their active participation through art, sports, and language. Our approach integrates five dimensions of human development:

Cognitive: Exercising brain functions to improve verbal expression, memory, imagination, attention, concentration, and creativity.

Physical: Emphasizing the importance of developing their bodies in a conscious and responsible manner.

Emotional: Recognizing their emotions and feelings and expressing them positively.
Social: Skills for living in society.

Transcendent: Developing self-awareness, a vision for the future, creativity, and emotional bonds that enable them to leave their mark.

What does this model achieve? It helps children and youth develop self-esteem, life skills, and the ability to make plans for their future.

Stage 1: Preparation

During the first few months of the year, we carry out the institutional and regional preparation process to launch training programs at our locations.

• Preparation and maintenance of facilities.
• Call for participants and registration.
• Planning of training workshops.
• Organization of age groups and sessions.
• Information session for participants and staff.

This allowed us to start the year with a well-organized operation, ready to make an impact on:

Breakdown by gender: 48% men and 52% women.
Participating families: 110 in Ciudad Bolívar, 65 in Usaquén, and 75 in Soacha.

Phase 2: Projected Impact

By 2026, we expect to see a high retention rate in the Foundation’s programs, reflecting the participants’ commitment and motivation toward educational, artistic, and sports activities.

Currently, 173 children and youth have been involved with the Foundation for more than two years, demonstrating their trust in and commitment to the educational programs.

1. Workshops:

• Weekly workshops in music, dance, art, indoor soccer, life planning, and gardening.
• Camping and physical development activities.
• Private tutoring in math and language and literature, using modules similar to those in the Saber 11 curriculum.
• Individual and group psychological counseling.

2. Family Education:

• We plan to offer guidance sessions focused on parenting guidelines, family communication, and support for the beneficiaries’ educational journey.
