Our challenge is to help vulnerable children and youth living in poor neighborhoods, reach more prosperous life projects and develop their social, cognitive, emotional, and physical abilities, so they can break out of their poverty circle. With your help, "Fundacion Proyecto de Vida", will benefit more than 550 unprotected children monthly, by providing music&art workshops, psychological support, balanced nutrition, reduction of inequalities, children's rights protection and school reinforcement
We're working to avoid the risk that children from 6 to 18 face in their communities of falling into criminal activities, becoming school drop-outs, teen pregnancy and chronic malnutrition. Children and youth live in vulnerable conditions. They're growing up without access to adequate nutrition, access to education and health services. They have been victims of domestic abuse, violence and forced displacement situations. These families are dysfunctional and have unemployed female hoseholds.
These funds aim to improve the social and economic position of households living in poverty by investing in nutrition, workshops in arts, music & sports; psychological help, reduction of inequalities, protection of children's rights, school reinforcement and parental guidance. We serve children and youth in ages 6 to 18, their families and communities living on less than $4 dollars a day.
Our participants are living proof of how our methodology and support has allowed them to develop successful life projects, solid self-esteems and an ability to serve as change managers and community leaders for 25 years. Breaking their cycle of poverty, with the appropriate tools to face difficulties, they can develop their intellectual capacities, with the ability to project their lives appropriately. They're empowered to become a part of the solutions to positive social transformation.
