This spring is shaping up to be one of our most exciting seasons yet! Our team has been busy diving into planning and building out our programs. Here are a few highlights; this year, we will be planting native medicinal plants in our meditation labyrinth; installing informational signage and citizen science initiatives throughout Weaver Creek Park; continuing to provide garden education at multiple schools across the area and exploring a possilbity to build new gardens with multiple schools; and growing our community through each program we support.
We will be launching our GardenAbility Program in mid-April, creating an inclusive space for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to connect with nature through hands-on gardening. We are also exploring the launch of a Recovery Garden program designed to support healing, growth, and community. Across the orchard, there has been incredible progress in maintaing the land preparing for the season. Our trees and grape vines (in all three vineyards!) are nearly fully pruned, vegetable seedlings have been started, and we are bustling with energy planning many other projects for the year. Behind the scenes, new systems like our volunteer platform are already strengthening coordination, and we are excited to welcome new volunteers into this work.
Collaborations with local organizations, schools, and community groups are opening doors to new garden builds, field trips, workshops, and other shared opportunities. Our goal is to transform Weaver Creek Park into a healing space where the community can come together to garden, enjoy the outdoors, and...well, be community! As one example, we are planning a free Friday movie night series in the park, held once a month starting this spring. This will be an opportunity not only to raise funds, but also to bring people together to enjoy the park during the evening hours. It’s a beautiful space, and we want to share it with the community as much as possible. In 2025, our team impacted more than 6,500 individuals, and donated over 5,000lbs of fresh organic produce to local hunger relief organizations, and served 930 adults and youth with disabilities. This year, we're looking to do even more!
Your support makes everything that we do possible.
We sincerely thank you for allowing us to do this work,
