Dear Supporter,
Greetings to you from Hope House.
It gives me immense joy to write to you once again and share how your kindness and generosity have brought hope, healing, and love into the lives of some of the most vulnerable children entrusted to our care.
During the financial year 2025–2026 (April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026), we cared for 20 children with special needs at Hope House. By God’s grace, five of these precious children were placed into loving adoptive families — four in the United States and one in India near Chennai. Sadly, due to severe medical complications, we also experienced the heartbreaking loss of one child. Though the pain of that loss remains with us, we continue to cherish the brief time that child was surrounded by love and care.
As you know, every child who comes to Hope House has significant medical and developmental needs. We worked tirelessly to ensure that each child received the best possible medical care through the renowned Christian Medical College & Hospital (CMC), Vellore. Today, we are overjoyed to receive regular updates from the adoptive families. Some children have already started play school, while others are thriving through homeschooling. What touches us deeply is how these families are intentionally helping the children remain connected to their Indian roots — celebrating Indian festivals, preparing authentic Indian meals, and embracing the beautiful culture from which these children come.
This year was especially meaningful for us because Hope House completed 20 years of service to children in this region. To commemorate this milestone, we hosted a special gathering on February 6th with nearly 200 local supporters. On that memorable day, with the support of medical students from CMC Vellore, we inaugurated a small children’s park — a joyful space filled with laughter, play, and hope.
We also unveiled an ambitious strategic vision for the future. Over the next five years, we hope to extend our work beyond the walls of Hope House and reach nearly 1,000 individuals living within a 10-kilometer radius of our community. After twenty years of caring for children within institutions, we now sense God leading us into a new chapter of community transformation and outreach.
As we reflect on these twenty years, one truth stands above all else: Hope House exists because of faithful supporters like YOU.
We have never depended on large corporations or massive funding sources. Instead, this ministry has been sustained through countless small, sacrificial, and compassionate donations from ordinary individuals who chose to care. Every meal served, every surgery completed, every child comforted, and every life transformed has been possible because people like you believed these children deserved love, dignity, and a future.
Thank you for standing with us through every season.
Thank you for loving children you may never meet.
Thank you for giving hope.
May God bless you abundantly for the compassion you continue to share with the children of Hope House.
Until we meet again through our next report,
With a grateful heart,
Ruby Nakka
