Every time we meet a child in need of urgent cardiac care, we are reminded of the power of compassion and community. This year, we met Eithan, a brave little boy from western Venezuela who was struggling with a severe congenital heart defect that put his life at risk. His family had searched everywhere for help, but hospitals in their region lacked the resources and specialists needed to treat him. Thanks to your donations and the partnership between Fundación Estrellita de Belén and Ascardio’s cardiology team, Eithan received a life-saving valvuloplasty that gave him a second chance at life. Today, he smiles freely, runs, and dreams of becoming a doctor to help other children like him.
Through this project, we have provided more than 300 cardiology appointments, six ablations, multiple catheterization procedures, and lifesaving medicines and supplies to children whose families could not afford care. Each number represents a beating heart, a family’s restored hope, and a future made possible by your generosity.
