Project Overview
From November to February, Fundación Estrellita de Belén has continued its mission to provide essential medical care and support to children with congenital heart disease (CHD). Through our ongoing initiatives, we have ensured that these children receive the necessary medical attention and medications to improve their quality of life.
Key Achievements1. Medical Appointments
Total Private Medical Appointments Provided: 60+
These appointments have allowed children to continue their cardiac care under professional supervision, ensuring ongoing monitoring and management of their conditions.
2. Medicines Provided
Total Medicines Distributed: 45+
These medicines have been crucial in maintaining the health and stability of children with CHD, preventing complications and hospitalizations.
3. Families Supported
Total Families Helped: 60+
Our support has extended beyond the patients, assisting families who struggle to access specialized care and medication for their children.
4. CHD Awareness & Support Initiatives
To commemorate CHD Day, we organized a recreational activity for the children, allowing them to celebrate, connect, and enjoy a day dedicated to raising awareness about congenital heart disease.
Additionally, we were able to purchase a wheelchair for one of our children who, due to his CHD condition, is unable to walk. This contribution significantly improved his mobility and quality of life.
Impact
Improved Access to Healthcare: By providing private medical appointments, we have reduced wait times and ensured timely interventions for children in need.
Medication Accessibility: The provision of essential medications has relieved financial burdens on families and ensured consistent treatment adherence.
Holistic Family Support: Many families face economic hardships, and our assistance has played a critical role in alleviating some of their struggles, enabling them to focus on their child’s well-being.
Empowering Children with CHD: The recreational activity for CHD Day provided a sense of belonging and joy, while the wheelchair donation empowered one of our children with greater independence.
Our work from November to February has made a significant impact on the lives of children with CHD and their families. With continued support and collaboration, we aim to expand our efforts and reach even more children in need. Fundación Estrellita de Belén remains committed to its mission of healing hearts and restoring hope.
