This initiative aims to make a profound impact by offering specialized care to hundreds of children suffering from congenital heart disease in Venezuela. Through this project, we will facilitate private pediatric cardiology appointments for up to 1000 children, ensuring they receive the essential cardiac care they require. They will receive comprehensive medical support, including essential supplies, medications, laboratory tests, EKGs, and nutritional guidance.
There are currently hundreds of thousands of children around the world and more than 4200 children born annually in Venezuela with congenital heart disease, with fewer than 20% receiving life-saving cardiac care. The government-funded hospitals have neither the expertise nor the resources to care for these children resulting in a high mortality rate while awaiting care. Contributing to this situation are the collapsed economy and lack of medical supplies and nutritional supplements.

By implementing these strategies and galvanizing collective action, we can mitigate the impact on the CHD community.
This project will allow 1000 children annually to receive interventional procedures to improve their quality of life. Additionally, parents/caregivers will be educated on the specifics of their child's condition and afforded the resources to pursue more permanent solutions to the child's condition.
