Our children and their families live in a rural area, where there are no services, no water or electricity, no transportation. We need to install a water treatment plant, to be able to distribute water to the Turgua community and prevent them from getting sick. The project includes: Construction of a water well, water treatment plant and distribution. The provision of services adequate water and sanitation is essential to achieve the Development Goals sustainable, including related to health and gender equality.
More than 2 million people die each year from diarrheal diseases throughout the world. Lack of hygiene and unsafe water are responsible for almost the 90% of these deaths, and affect mainly to children. The economic impact of not investing in water and sanitation would be fatal, millions of people will continue to die every year and it will continue to be lost biological diversity and resilience of ecosystems, undermining prosperity and efforts made for the future more sustainable.
